Since April 2022, the Lithuanian Council for Culture (LCC) has allocated nearly EUR 240,000 in funding for 133 Ukrainian artists who have found refuge in Lithuania. The LCC received a total of 168 applications from Ukrainian creative professionals. The purpose of the grants is to support the creative activities of artists and promote cooperation with the Lithuanian cultural community.
Purpose of the grant
The purpose of this grant for Ukrainian artists who have been forced to flee from Russian invasion is to support the creative activities of those who have found refuge in Lithuania and to promote their cooperation with the Lithuanian cultural community in the fields of architecture, libraries, circus, art, design, ethnic culture and folk art, photography, cultural heritage, literature, museums, music, dance, interdisciplinary art and theatre.
Procedure for awarding grants
To be eligible for a grant, artists and cultural professionals must be adult citizens of Ukraine who have been given temporary protection in Lithuania (registration cards issued by the Migration Department under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania). The €1,800 grant can be awarded once, for three months. Applications can be submitted electronically in Lithuanian or English. Applications must be accompanied by a description of the applicant’s life and creative activities, as well as a letter of cooperation with a Lithuanian cultural organisation, in which the organisation would provide a confirmation on the inclusion of the applicant in the cultural activities carried out by such organisation, as well as introduce the applicant and his/her previous work and justify the reasons for the inclusion of the applicant in the cultural activities of the organisation, as well as indicate the way in which the applicant will be included in such activities.
In promoting cooperation between Lithuanian and Ukrainian artists during this difficult period, the Ministry of Culture, together with the Lithuanian Council for Culture, has prepared a database of Lithuanian cultural and art organisations that are interested in cooperating with Ukrainian creatives, so it is expected that the applicants will not have trouble finding Lithuanian cultural institutions to support them.

Рада культури Литви (РКЛ) приймає від українських митців, які знайшли прихисток у Литві, грантові заявки на тримісячні стипендії (1 800 євро). З квітня 2022 РКЛ розподілила близько 240 тис. євро на фінансування 133 українських митців, які знайшли прихисток в Литві. В цілому РКЛ отримала 168 заявок від українців у Литві. Метою грантової програми є підтримка творчої діяльності митців та сприяння співпраці з литовською культурною спільнотою.Мета стипендії
Метою цієї стипендії для митців України, які постраждали від воєнних дій росії, – підтримати творчу діяльність творців культури і мистецтва України, які знайшли прихисток у Литві, і заохотити їх до співпраці з культурною спільнотою Литви в галузях архітектури, бібліотечної справи, цирку, образотворчого мистецтва, дизайну, етнічної культури та народного мистецтва, фотографії, культурної спадщини, літератури, музейної справи, музики, танцю, міждисциплінарного мистецтва і театру.
Порядок призначення стипендій
Отримати стипендії можуть повнолітні громадяни України, діячі культури і професійного мистецтва, яким надано тимчасовий прихисток у Литві (реєстраційна картка, видана Департаментом міграції при Міністерстві внутрішніх справ Литовської Республіки). Стипендія у розмірі 1 800 євро може бути призначена один раз, на три місяці. Заявки можна подавати в електронному вигляді литовською або англійською мовами. При подачі заявок митці повинні долучити резюме та опис творчої діяльності і лист про співпрацю з культурними організаціями Литви, в якому організація підтвердила б, що заявник є залученим в культурну діяльність, що здійснюється організацією, а також представила б заявника та його попередню творчість і обґрунтувала б причини, за якими заявник залучається в культурну діяльність організації, а також вказала б, яким чином заявник буде залучений у цю діяльність.
Заохочуючи співпрацю митців Литви і України в цей складний період, Міністерство культури Литви разом з Радою культури Литви розробили Базу даних культурних і мистецьких організацій Литви, які бажають співпрацювати з українськими митцями, тож ми надіємося, що митцям України не буде важко знайти культурні установи Литви, які їх підтримують.
