Elzė Gudavičiūtė-Puskunigė

Theatre, film and television actress, teacher Elzė Gudavičiūtė-Puskunigė   graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre with a Bachelor’s degree in 2009  and  finished her Master’s studies at the Academy in 2011. In 2017, she was also awarded the degree of Doctorate in Art at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. 

Since 2007, Gudavičiūtė-Puskunigė has created more than thirty roles in various Lithuanian and foreign theatres. She has performed at the National Kaunas Drama Theatre, Lėlė Vilnius Puppet Theatre, Menų Spaustuvė, State Youth Theatre, Utopia Theatre, and participated in the No Theatre movement. Since 2013, she is an actress of the troupe of the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre. She also creates roles in cinema and television and has created almost thirty different roles. 

In 2012, the actress was awarded with Sidabrine Gerve (Sliver Crane) for the role of Eglė in Algimantas Puipa’s film Miegančių Drugelių Tvirtovė (Fortress of Sleeping Butterflies (Studio Uljana Kim) and Auksinis Scenos Kryžius (Golden Cross of the Stage) for the role of Zara in Jonas Jurašas’s performance Apsivalymas (Purification) (National Kaunas Drama Theatre) and Olga’s role in Oskaras Koršunovas’s performance Išvarymas (Expulsion) (Lithuanian National Drama Theatre). 

Since  2015 , Gudavičiūtė-Puskunigė has been teaching at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and is an associate professor.
